      "Status" refers to the current health and activity of the satellite. This column can also contain information about the CASTOR satellite observation.


ACTIVITY STATUS

ACTIVE: The satellite in question is functioning in some capacity, whether entirely or in part, and its attitude is being controlled regularly. Its orbit is currently stable.

INACTIVE: The satellite in question is no longer functioning and its attitude is no longer being controlled. However, its orbit is currently stable.

DECAYING: The orbit of the satellite in question is steadily decaying and the satellite will most likely re-enter the Earth's atmosphere within one year.

DECAYED MM/DD/YY: The satellite in question has re-entered the Earth's atmosphere on the date indicated (month / day / year).

?????: This is mainly reserved for those satellites that cannot be positively correlated or have an unknown status at the present time.


CASTOR OBSERVATION STATUS

DUPLICATE OBS OF #: The observation has been proven to be a duplicate observation of a satellite already in the catalogue.

Not a Satellite: Objects that were proven not to be satellites.
